Race Recovery Massage in Chamonix — UTMB & Marathon du Mont-Blanc
Race recovery massage in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, built around the calendar that runs this valley — UTMB, CCC, OCC, TDS and the Marathon du Mont-Blanc. Light, smart work to leave your legs fresh on race week, and proper recovery afterwards so you can get down the stairs and back out on the trails sooner.
Before the race
Race week is not the time for deep, heavy work — it's the time to leave your legs feeling springy and clear, not bruised. A lighter, flushing session two to four days out eases off the residual tightness from your taper, keeps everything moving, and settles the nerves a little too.
Scott will work to your race, not against it: no aggressive digging into fatigued tissue the day before you toe the line. If you've got a niggle you're worried about, race week is for calming and managing it, not for opening it up.
After the race
After UTMB, the CCC or a Marathon du Mont-Blanc your legs are trashed, swollen and sore, and everything's inflamed. The first session or two afterwards is about flushing, gently easing the worst of the soreness, and getting range and normal movement back — not hammering already-damaged tissue.
As the acute soreness settles over the following days and weeks, the work can go deeper to clear out the knots and restriction a big effort leaves behind, so you rebuild on a body that moves well rather than one that's quietly compensating. Tell Scott what you ran and how you feel, and he'll pitch it right.
Mobile, when you can't move
The evening after a big race, driving to a studio is the last thing you want to do — so Scott comes to you. Mobile race recovery at your chalet, hotel or apartment, anywhere across the valley, means you can be treated and then not move again. See mobile massage in Chamonix.
