Ski Recovery Massage in Chamonix

Ski recovery massage in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc for legs that take a beating all winter — burning quads after a big day on the pistes, heavy legs deep into a season, and the specific load of ski touring and off-piste. Keep skiing strong from the first lifts to spring corn.

Who it's for

Skiing hammers the legs in a way that sneaks up on you: quads that scream by the last runs, calves and shins locked from boots, a lower back that's tired of absorbing every turn. Whether you're here for a week and want to ski hard every day without seizing up, a seasonaire stacking up days, or a ski-tourer earning your turns, this is about keeping the legs working through it.

Ski touring adds its own demands — the climbing load on hips, calves and hip flexors, the long days — and Scott treats for what you're actually doing, not a generic set of ski muscles.

What a session involves

The focus is where skiing loads you: quads and glutes that do the braking, calves and shins locked up by boots, and the lower back and hips that manage every turn. Scott works through the overloaded tissue to take the edge off that deep burn, restore range that stiff boots and cold muscles rob you of, and keep everything moving so day two feels like day one.

As ever it starts with a quick look at how you're moving and what's tight, so the hour is spent where it'll actually help — not a fixed routine. If something's more than tired legs — a knee that's grumbling, a back that's guarding — he'll tell you and steer you rather than just rubbing it.

Timing through a ski week or season

On a week's holiday, a session mid-week keeps the second half as strong as the first. Through a season, a regular loosen-off every couple of weeks stops the slow build-up of tightness that ends good days early. After a really big day — a long tour, a powder dawn-to-dusk — a session that evening pays off the next morning.

Common questions

Will a massage help my quads recover between ski days?
Yes — that's a lot of what it's for. Easing the deep quad and glute burn and restoring range means the next day's first runs don't start stiff. A mid-week session on a ski holiday is a reliable way to keep skiing strong.
I'm ski touring, not just on piste — is this still for me?
Definitely. Touring loads hips, calves and hip flexors on the way up as much as the quads on the way down. Scott treats for what you're doing, uphill and down.
Can you come to my chalet after skiing?
Yes — après-ski at your accommodation is one of the most popular uses. Get treated and don't move again. See mobile massage in Chamonix.
How often through a season?
Every couple of weeks keeps the slow build-up of tightness in check for most people; more often in a big touring block or if you're skiing hard every day. There's no package to commit to.
